Green is not a color that comes to mind when you think Father Frost or Santa Claus but this piece will change your view as its striking.
A number of things make it stand out to me. The first being the inetreting shape of the piece, the second the nice use of the painting to infer folds of cloth giving the piece a depth, and lastly the use of this strong green color that sets off the white beard and orange brown edging on the robe.
