Chickadees hold a special place for me as they bring back Grandparents long gone who first showed me bird feeders and introduced me to the joys of all the various birds that came to call. I have always had a bird feeder where my home allowed and just had a group comne through our property in Colorado on their way to their winter home.

I have only had one cardinal that came to call and that was as a child in New England. You think they can't really be red and when they come into their Spring colors they are bright indeed and hard to miss.
